I decided to start a blog because I realized a lot of folks out there would benefit from reviews on sheet masks, since it can be hard to find in-depth reviews online. Below I outlined some of the philosophies I intend to uphold on my blog.
Science triumphs all
We've all heard about the latest and greatest trends in skincare, and sometimes it's hard to tell fact from fiction with all the marketing. Do modeling masks really work? How about snail stuff? I'll try my best to look into the ingredients of all the products and see if the research backs up the claims. I will also run product ingredients through cosdna.com for any red flags.
Impartial and honest:
So called "Holy grail" products might not work for everybody, and that's okay. I will remain unbiased in my reviews, regardless of how popular a product is. I might have favorite brands, but these will not affect my reviews. If it doesn't work for me, it doesn't work. Period.
Sustainable buying:It's easy to get into the fun of hauling entire lip gloss collections during sales, and buying every flavor of sheet masks out there. However, we know this is not sustainable for everyone, be it physical space or budget restrictions. Or, simply because one cannot realistically go through 1000 sheet masks alone, in a year. I will only purchase and review products I bought to use, not to simply review and toss aside. Hence, there will be mostly sheet masks reviews, and occasionally cleansers, toners, makeup etc. if I decide to switch products in my routine.
