Guide to Sheet Mask Reviews

Since this blog will focus primarily on sheet masks (with occasional reviews on other products I use in my routine), I have designed a methodology to score sheet masks. It will focus on 4 main areas (in order of importance): Effectiveness (E), Mask Fit (M), Scent (S), and Essence Level (L).

Each area will be scored from 0 to 4, and the final score for a sheet mask will be a weighted average.

The formula is:

(0.4 * E) + (0.3 * M) + (0.2 * S) + (0.1 * L)

For example, a sheet mask that received a 4 for Effectiveness, 3 for Mask Fit, 4 for Scent, and 2 for Essence Level will have a score of (0.4*4) + (0.3*3) + (0.2*4) + (0.1*2) = 3.5 out of 4.

I'll go into further details on what each score means, for each area.

ALL ART ON THIS BLOG IS DRAWN BY ME. Please do not steal, use or copy.

------------------------------------------------
Effectiveness (E):
Amazing (4/4): Has a dramatically positive
effect on my skin, does everything it
claims to, does not break me out,
and has quality ingredients.
Good (3/4): Has a noticeably positive
effect on my skin, does most of
what it claims, and does not break
me out.

Ok (2/4): Has a slightly positive
effect on my skin, does some of
what it claims. Caused minimal or
no irritation.

Nope (1/4): Did nothing for my skin
and/or worsened my skin. Did none
of what it claims. Will definitely
NOT re-purchase.

------------------------------------------------
Mask Fit (M):

Perfect (4/4): This mask was pretty
much made for my face. The material
feels pleasant. It's a match made in
 heaven, baby.
Good (3/4): This mask mostly fits
my face, with minor areas that
are too small/big. Material feels
above average.
Decent (2/4): This mask fits ok
overall, but there is one area that
noticeably over/under fits. Material
is average.
Bad (1/4): This mask just doesn't
fit my face, or there is some
major problem with the material/cut.
I did not enjoy wearing it.

------------------------------------------------
Scent (S):
Divine (4/4): This smells amazing.
If it was a perfume, I'd wear it.
Seriously. End of story.
Tolerable (2/4): Not my favorite
scent, but I can deal with it.
No biggie.
Good (3/4): Smells pleasant,
and I really like it.

Terrible (1/4): I hate how this
smells, and I couldn't wait to get
it off my face!

------------------------------------------------
Essence Level (L):

High (4/4): There is SO much
essence, probably enough for
another sheet mask!
Med-High (3/4): There is a generous
 amount of essence, more than
a sheet mask needs.
Medium (2/4): Just enough packed
inside for a sheet mask, but not
enough for anything else.
Low (1/4): Not enough essence
to saturate a sheet mask. Talk
about being stingy!
